Build your house on the Rock
They have turned Truth on its head
Called good evil, evil good
Called bitter, sweet, sweet, bitter
Light, darkness and darkness, light.
Using a front, masquerade
They raid, rape morality
Lead people astray, confused
And so the blind lead the blind.
But we must stand our ground
Stand on the Rock, stem the tide
Hold on to Godís good, great standards;
Use Godís compass, counsel light.
Day of reckoning will come
Castles built on sand will crash
When the rain and storm come down.
So build your house on the Rock.
18 Woe to those who draw sin along with cords of deceit,
and wickedness as with cart ropes,
19 to those who say, "Let God hurry,
let him hasten his work
so we may see it.
Let it approach,
let the plan of the Holy One of Israel come,
so we may know it."
20 Woe to those who call evil good
and good evil,
who put darkness for light
and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet
and sweet for bitter.
21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes
and clever in their own sight.
22 Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine
and champions at mixing drinks,
23 who acquit the guilty for a bribe,
but deny justice to the innocent.
32Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
24"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash."Matt.7:24-27
