Psalm 18: 16-19 “ He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the Lord was my support. He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me.”
Thou loves me
Oh, heavens rejoice
Angels bring forth a merry tune
as one realizes
she is loved
I was
Too deep to turn back
swirling and plundering
to and fro
never getting anywhere
returning to that deep,
dark place I had begun
I cried out to him
That was all
That was enough
for him
To rescue another lost soul
from the heavy waters
of sin and despair
How did I get there?
Me, others
it grew as the days passed me by
One touch of love
a new start
His strength
I am saved
I am safe
I will serve
I will praise
not alone, for alone
I could only find
myself
paddling in deep waters
once again

by my side,
a part of everyday
I will stay afloat
