Every day you are given one bucket full of liquid mental energy poured into your brain. It’s not a lot because, let’s face it, most people’s brains are not that big…but it is completely and totally enough!
As a result It is a precious commodity.
Attached to the bottom of the brain bucket are three valves which are under full control of the individual who is housing that brain. These valves release the liquid mental energy to different areas as follows:
Called the “Past Value”
This valve drains to the outside of the body right down the backside*. You activate this valve by spending your thoughts in the past thinking about things like: “Why did I do that?” “Why did (he, she, they) say/do that?” “If only I/they hadn’t said/done that!” If only that had not happened, etc.
*often the LME that pours down the backside puddles around the waist, hips and thighs.
Called the “Future Valve”
This valve also drains to the outside of the body right down the front (where everybody can see how much you are worrying about your future)*. You activate this valve by spending your thoughts in the future. Thinking about things like I’m stressed/worried/afraid/concerned/overwhelmed/paralyzed about what’s going to happen if….? Or how am I going to make it if …?
*This valve can provide a misguided feeling of taking action and others may be impressed with how much you worry about the future. It’s almost as good as doing something.
Note: Exceptionally talented people can simultaneously activate Valves #1 and #2 by thoughts such as “I never have been able to…. (Past valve) so I’m worried I won’t be able to… (Future valve)”
Called the “Now Valve” (also known as the “Present Valve”)
This valve drains directly inside the body energizing the entire brain and body to handle exactly what is happening now! “In the present” this phenomenal energy is used to change the past and shape the future.
You activate this valve by simply closing Valves #1 and #2; i.e., refusing to spend time on what was and/or what might be and focusing on “living in the moment”. This is the concept of being where you are. When you activate Valve #3 you will experience things like…
• Experiencing the feeling of grass under your feet (assuming you are standing barefoot on the lawn).
• Sensing a cloud float under the sun on a warm summer day.
• Hearing the “real question” when you child asks you something.
• Watching your friend’s eyes as they talk to you.
• Seeing a beautiful flower garden in a place you have gone by hundreds of times.
• Feeling yourself take a deep refreshing breath.
When activating the “Now Valve” it is acceptable to briefly evaluate the past but only as it pertains to your actions and responses and only to shed light on which actions or responses you would like to change while you are here in the “Now Valve”.
It is also acceptable to visualize the future you want to see, but again only as it pertains to you and in such a way that you set in motion action steps to attain that future while you are “in the present”.
As you begin this journey to activating Valve #3 and permanently sealing Valves #1 and #2 you will stumble and find yourself opening them and draining that precious commodity of liquid mental energy. However you will also begin to have an alertness of what is happening and respond faster to shutting them off.
You have been through some tough things recently but keep in mind that life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you respond to it.
While you do not have the authority to decide what life will bring you, you have been given full power to shape your responses to what comes your way.
You control your choices.

I am reading this at midnight because I can't sleep. The reason? I can't turn off valve 1 & 2. I wish I could. Now that I know about valve 3, there is hope. Good job and great insight. Thanks for sharing it with all of us.
