Satan had a temper tantrum today
Because he couldn't seem to have his way
In any part of my life
Because I rebuked and denied his pain and strife.
He tried his best to make me do
Just as he wanted me to,
But I let him know that he would not be heard
By chastising him with God's word.
He kicked and screamed all in my home,
But I let him know he was no longer free to roam
About causing confusion;
For, I would no longer tolerate his intrusions.
He knocked things over all on my job,
But I let him know that he could no longer rob
Me of my joy and peace of mind;
Nor, would he take up any more of my time
Over gossip, lies, or the slander of my name,
And his temper tantrums will no longer effect me the same
As they have done so many times before
Because I now have the strength to kick him out the door.
So, whenever Satan has a temper tantrum in your life,
Whether he's using your emotions, finances, children, husband or wife,
Chastise him for his rude and obnoxious behavior
By seeking guidance from the Savior.
See, he can only come in if you open the door,
So, it's best that you look over him, simply ignore
The efforts he makes to get your attention, to gain control
And to make you lose sight of the ultimate goal.
Satan is selfish and inconsiderate just like a spoiled child,
But if you beat him real good, he will sit down for a little while.
So, if Satan has a temper tantrum in your life today,
Let him know with the chastisement of your faith that he will no longer have his way.
