Learning is what we do, with you everyday it is all new
Your thoughts and way of thinking is all renewed
Your heart, mind, eyes and ears opened up even more
To see that what you thought was totally wrong
I am not perfect and I will never be, no matter how “clean”
Jesus, Your righteousness and Holy Spirit is all that I need
Your word and hand steadily directing and guiding me
As I have surrendered my heart and life to Thee
I have hurt You in so many ways and for many a days
Yet you say I can approach freely, your throne of grace
Your love so incalculable it reaches my many sins
Erasing them into oblivion, leaving me pure and clean
I make mistakes so who am I to judge, the traps are strong
It matters not to you that one has fallen deep, fast and hard
Because You pick them up gently, and still call them Yours
Reminding us we are human and our flesh needs work,
your word and touch
