So many of My precious children live in fear and dread of that day when I shall call them to account for their works on this earth. Even those who have sincerely repented of bad decisions, sins or mistakes of the past toss and turn at night, wondering what stern, heartbreaking rebuke I’ll dish out to them at the Believer’s Judgment Seat. Instead of being filled with unadulterated JOY at the thought of my appearing, they shiver with dread like a child on his way to get a whipping.
You await your heavenly Bridegroom Who loved you and gave His very life for you in order that you could be FREE of condemnation and all the depression which goes with it. I have washed your sins away as far as East is from West (Psalms 103:12). The Psalmist wrote this beautiful scripture many centuries BEFORE the Cross. Even he had reassurance of his salvation. Even today, in this Age of Grace, some Christians concede that while I MAY have covered their sins with the Blood, they’re still there! And someday I’ll rip away the Blood covering to take a peek at the awful things you did and berate you for them in front of assembled saints and angels. What a lie of the devil! How this undercuts My grace and mercy and robs My dear children of rest and peace, how it robs your Savior of glory!
Your sins and your iniquities I remember NO MORE (Heb.10:17). Why oh, why don’t My people act like this is true? Satan is a clever deceiver. It SEEMS oh, so spiritual and humble and even wise to tell other Christians that someday you’ll have to stand before Me and give account for all the things left undone and things you ought to have done better. But if you have genuinely REPENTED of these sins of omission and commission, I can forgive you and wipe the slate clean. Remember, the definition of sin is “missing the mark” or falling short of My glory (Rom.3:23).
Let Me CARRY you over those rough patches in life where you despair of your own weakness and inability to perform to My satisfaction. Your righteousness is in ME, not in yourself (I Cor..1:30-31; 2 Tim.4:8).
Don’t let satan the enemy rob you of your own righteousness, given to you by Faith in Christ (Rom.4:13). Satan is a thief, a robber and a liar.
