Now faith is the substance of things hoped for
And the evidence of things not seen
By faith I believed in Jesus as my Savior
And my faith is surely not a dream
I walk by faith in Jesus and not just by sight
For by His grace, thru faith I was saved;
But that faith is not anything I had of myself
It is God’s gift ~ the path was paved
Without faith it is impossible to please God:
He that comes to God must believe
That He is God, and is a rewarder of those
Who truly seek His gift to receive
What is my Hope? The Lord God is!
He is my portion, saith my soul;
Therefore I will put my hope only in Him
And of my life, give Him control
I, through His Spirit do wait for the hope
Of my righteousness, by faith
That I may know what is that blessed hope
Of His calling, and richness of His grace
For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down,
That it will sprout again and again,
The tender branches thereof will never die
But will return to life, just as men
And love, what is this thing called love?
God, Himself is ~ the Holy Bible said
He gave His love to me, while yet I sinned,
Christ died and His blood was shed.
This tells me JESUS CHRIST IS that perfect love
That I so hungered and thirsted for
No greater love hath a man who lays down life
For the ones He loves and adores
So, I shall love the Lord God with all my heart,
With all my soul, and all my mind
And I shall love my neighbor as myself
These two commands are entwined
And these commandments are not grievous
But bring such joy, to serve my King
He has taught me the true meaning of love
Without Him, I don’t have a thing
For God’s love covered the multitude of my sins….
When He sent His Son from above
Now abides faith, hope, and love ~ these three;
But the greatest of these….is love.
