Where is Wisdom?

Job 28:12-28 – Where is Wisdom?

Vs 12 – But where can wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding?

Vs 23 – God understands its way; and He knows its place.

Vs 28 – And to man He said, “Behold the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

God’s wisdom is indefinite. It is vast, broad, and unfathomable. Who can search out His unending wisdom and who can stand in His path in the way of wisdom? Man search and seek out wisdom, but did he find it? Verse 28 says, “Behold the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom.”

Yes, the fear of the Lord, that is the beginning of wisdom. Prov 9:10. It is in Him that we gain understanding. However, wisdom cannot be found in the deep and the sea; nor in gold and silver; nor in the precious stones; it is only given to man through God’s gift. God understands its way, and He knows its place. Verse 23.

Wisdom, the principle thing is found only through the obedience of man towards God. As we relate and talk to our Maker, know that He will impart wisdom to us as we sought and desire it. It is only through wisdom that we are able to live and solve life problems; in the eyes of the Lord watching over us and leading and guiding us through each step of our ways. He is not far to pave the way for the good road that He wants us to walk into. He gives wisdom liberally.

Have you ever found yourself in situations where you need an answer from God and do not know what to do? All of us have been there in this situation before. How then do we help solve our problems? Do we scratch our head and wonder what we should do, or do we search it out in the wisdom of God. In another word, do we go to God for help in our circumstances, or are we basking in the despair of defeat?

Jam 1:5 asks us to ask God for wisdom if we lack wisdom. It says, “But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” Yes, wisdom is available from God and we just have to ask God for it.

Are you in the valley of decisions and you need wisdom to sail through your circumstances? Are you desperately crying to God for answers? Be despaired no more; search for God and you shall find the answer in Him, for wisdom will be at your doorstep.

Be dependent on God and He will give us counsels and wisdom if only we will cry out to Him and seek Him out.

Thank you for this. God's wisdom is the key to life...Amen.

Thank you for sharing this, Deline. How important indeed it is for us to seek God's wisdom to make the right decisions.

For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God (1 Corinthians 1:21, 20B, 18 NAS).

Let us all therefore walk in Him for it is in Him we will gain understanding. Praise the name of the Lord!
