Oh Soldier! Did you know...? That the enemy you kill for the Lord come back in spirit to serve your country?
Oh Soldier! Did you know...? That the people you free for the Lord prepare your place for you in heaven?
Oh Soldier! Did you know...? That the spoils you sieze for the Lord become the inspiration of your people for generations?
Soldier! Did you see...? That your brothers who died in battle for the Lord were given the choice as to what life they would have next?
Soldier! Did you see...? That your wounded for the Lord healed in spirit and in truth as though they had never sinned?
Soldier! Did you see...? That the fear in your brothers eyes for the Lord is what secured for them the enemy before they crossed enemy lines?
Did you hear...? Soldier! That the nation from which you were born to the Lord builds cities in your honour before a single battle is fought?
Did you hear...? Soldier! That the city from which you were taken to the Lord holds a tradition of respect for you in secret that your seed live on forever before a single weapon is fashioned?
Did you hear...? Soldier! The the house from which you were raised to the Lord was elevated to heaven for time everlasting before a single insult is hurled at anyone?
Soldier! They tremble at your bible! In death you conquer what they could not do their whole lives and THEN your words are heard in their ear! Do you fear their commander?
Soldier! They tremble at your heart! In death you feel more than they could feel in their whole lives and THEN your spirit appears before their eyes! Do you fear their formations?
Soldier! They tremble at the white cells of your blood! In death you rush faster than any drug know to man and THEN they crave your love - _your love_! Do you fear their territory?
You have your orders Soldier. Capture them with prayer. Heal their wounds with belief. Stop their languishing with truth. Have you regret?
You have your orders Soldier. If they strike you on the one cheek, turn to them the other - war is not light-hearted. If they take your cloak, give them your tunic also - be assured that the whole of your military goes with you. If they compel you to go with them one mile, go with them two - when they too have the government you have, they will war for you. Have you doubt?
You have your orders Soldier. Armageddon is won more than one and half millenia before the battle is fought. Have you not conquered the moment you are in Christ? The armies of the Beast are reduced to one man who does only what he thinks of next, again and again and again. Have you not conquered yourself the moment you are in Christ? The dead of past wars rise to advise the conquerors of the Lord. Have you not many conquests to your name the moment you are in the Lord? Have you blindness?
God's is the navy, the enemies countries are encircled. The Lord's is the airforce - a single plane can destroy a city. The King is the first on the battleline of the army. Soldier... Soldier! SOLDIER have you anything to do but rest? Soldier.... Soldier! SOLDIER have you anything to do but sharpen yourself? Soldier... Soldier! SOLDIER have you anything by which to sharpen yourself but the Word of the Lord?
One soldier dies: the army of the Lord sees its objective completely. Has he not become a commander? A second soldier dies: the army of the Lord perceives the weakness of every last enemy. Has the second not become equal to a commander in chief? A third soldier dies: the army of the Lord fashions a weapon that cannot be destroyed. Has the third not sealed the fate of his enemy?
Here is my love for the army. Here is my love for the soldier. Here is my love for the heart of my preservation. The military is true. The military is one. The military is wholly at war and the war begun. If life were nothing more than what ends here, I would have loved a hero (because I loved ANY soldier). If story were nothing more than what I have described, I would have loved a people (because I loved EVERY army). If living the story were nothing more than silently finishing, I would have won a war (because I loved them ALL).
