What an insignificant atom is a tiny grain of sand
But consider how God uses it by His creative Hand.
He’s made a mighty barrier of firm consistency
To hold back the powerful billows of the ever moving sea.
The powerful billows buffet and the heaving seas may roar
Against the minute grains of sand packed tightly on the shore.
But God has so ordained it, so that they’ll always be
An everlasting barrier protecting land from sea.
And so He takes His weakest child who trustingly believes
And holds Him, by His mighty power, against a sea that heaves
With dark, ferocious evil and noisy crashing roar,
He plants His child with peace and strength as he stands upon the shore.
And know for sure that God delights in those, those small and weak,
Who, saved by grace, cling hard to Him, wholeheartedly they seek
To love Him and to serve Him, in every way they can.
Though tiny, insignificant, their lives show Christ to man.
God chooses to use the weak things of the world
The small insignificant gainst the mighty unfurled
The dominant plans of the evil and wild
Are chequered and halted by the prayer of God’s child.
