Our lives are simply journeys on this earth
That begin even before the day of our birth.
God creates our beginning and our end;
And He knows whom we'll encounter, whether enemy or friend.
We are only instruments for His purpose and will,
And that only shall we fulfill.
So, whether we die, young or old,
We are only destined to accomplish God's goal.
Therefore, when someone you love leaves this world,
Whether young or old, man, woman, boy or girl,
Be assured that his mission is complete
At the close of his eyes and the halt of his heart's beat.
I know that his departure is heartbreaking and sad,
But refrain from being resentful and mad
Because God chose to take one whom you'd grown to love
To ascend to the heavens above
Because with God is where we all came from,
And with Him is where we will return to be at home.
