Diamonds in the snow
Treasures of darkness all aglow
Reflections of the stars and moon
The essence of dreams in bloom.
This elusive tranquility
Better seen in the dark of night
A mirage of celestial frost
A vision of shimmering light.
These puffy clouds of snow
Spiced with diamonds all aglow
Inspire dreams of far away galaxies
Twinkling in the distant heavens.
Of hidden riches and secret treasures
Sought throughout the ages
Of lush garments draped in jewels
Of sapphires, rubies and pearls of great price,
These petals of snowflakes dancing on ice.
A dimension of visual enchantment
This winter world of frosty twilight
A kingdom that melts away
Leaving no trace in sight.
And yet the thought lingers
That it will come again
Its secret kingdom to inspire
Our hearts from deep within --
Imagination set on fire
To tempt the call of fate.
Alas, only the hand of God
Is able to create --
This cherished reflection of His glory
A wonderland of temporal pleasure
How majestic is His handiwork
Of snowy pillows filled with treasure
-- from on high.

How beautiful! Who could ever dread having snow to fall after reading this! Actually, everything about God's creation should remind us of Him and His plan for our lives.
