You’re invited for tea. Come as soon as you can.
I’m waiting to spend time together
We’ll talk about kids who’ve grown up and gone
And how our joints ache in this weather.
We'll talk about life and how things have changed
How it's sometimes not all for the better
We'll talk about folks who are no longer here
And share some good news from a letter.
But most of all, friend, we'll sit and relax
Enjoying the day and its pleasures
For time spent with you is the best time of all
To be counted as one of life's treasures.
