Oh, boy, are my survival instincts kicking in! We live in VA but our main stream of income is from MI. My friends in MI (the state hardest hit by this crazy economy) --know what I mean. I am talking financial survival. Mike and I are not people who just roll over and play dead in the face of adversity. Not any more!
We are cutting costs (no more Sunday dinners at Applebee's for a while), I'll have to lose weight now to get back into my, uh, smaller but pricier clothes. And Mike and I will roll up our sleeves and help Pat (our contractor) knock out the construction jobs on recently acquired properties (in VA) that have the potential to substantially increase our cash flow.
You see what I mean? Survivors are not passive--we will get up, by the Grace of God, and get the job done! Treasures Redeemed by the survivors of abuse includes "I am helpless no more," attitudes that just may make the day for us right now.
I pray for all of you right now--that you will see God at work in new and amazing ways during these economically hard times.
