Every true believer in Christ Jesus passes through the trials, temptations, troubles, hardships and persecution that have become a vital part and lifestyle of "True Christians". Just as in past millenniaís Christians passed through some gruesome persecutions so are the present Christians passing through persecutions, some are beaten to death, some are hanged uptill down, some are kept hungry from a long time, some are cold bloodedly murdered, some are in prisons, some are raped and are made slaves, some are been thrown into the den of lions, some are been mocked and are been made public spectacle, some have lost their eyes, their hands and their legs as they are been persecuted but still they havenít lost there hope, they have not given up their faith.
Jesus Christ Himself has foretold us in Gospel of John 16:1-4, " I have told you this, so that you will not give up your faith. You will be expelled from the synagogues, and the time will come when anyone who kills you will think that by doing this he is serving God. People will do these things to you because they have not known either the Father or Me. But I have told you this, so that when the time comes for them to do these things, you will remember that I told you." Even through His apostles He has foretold us that "Since Christ suffered physically you too must strengthen yourselves with the same way of thinking that he had; because whoever suffers physically is no longer involved in Sin." Elsewhere it is written that, "My dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful test you are suffering, as though something unusual were happening to you. Rather be glad that you are sharing Christ's sufferings, so that you may be full of Joy when his glory is revealed.
The blessings that persecution brings is witnessing the Good News of Christ to the world: Rejoicement Replaces Shame; Glory replaces Weakness; Patience replaces anxiety and fear; Humbleness replaces Pride; Faith replaces unbelief; Righteousness replaces unrighteousness; helps us to rely more on God then on ourselves; God becomes the central and focal point of our lives; helps us to become patient and reveals the Grace of God to endure everything and anything that tests our faith in Him; helpís to tarry each otherís burden; brings us in the Spirit of unity and helps us in becoming of one mind and one in Spirit and above all Godís mighty power, glory and righteousness are been revealed to the world.
Christ has promised unto us that whosoever shall endure till the last shall save his/her soul and has promised us a mansion in Fatherís Kingdom backed with everlasting life- for, ďHe who has called us is faithful and Just, He shall never leave us, nor He will forsake us.Ē
May God bless each one of us to endure persecutions and complete the race of faith that has been set before us for if we die with him, we will also live with him. If we endure, we will also reign with him for just a little longer and he who is coming will arrive and not delay and bless us with His eternal life and will help us to achieve the purpose of our faith in Him is the Salvation of our souls.
Now to the one who is able to keep you from falling, and to cause you to stand, rejoicing, without blemish before his glorious presence, to the only God our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, power, and authority, before all time, and now, and for all eternity. Amen.
The Lord be with our spirit. Grace be with all of us- Amen.
