Chorus:
Golden teardrops
Falling on this heart of mine
It’s been shattered
But it’s stood the test of time.
Since you left me
There is nothing more to do
But let those golden teardrops fall
For me and you.
Verse:
I know you’re up there with the Lord,
And you was ready to go, I know.
But how do I live my life, without you now.
I have cried and I have laughed,
Hoping those memories could bring you back,
But those are just wishful dreams
That need to stop somehow.
Chorus:
Golden teardrops
Falling on this heart of mine
It’s been shattered
But it’s stood the test of time.
Since you left me
There is nothing more to do
But let those golden teardrops fall
For me and you.

Golden teardrops is a symbolization of how heavy my tears have been since I lost my beloved husband, David. “Move on” is not something that computes in my brain right now. Trying to deal, by writing poetry and songs, has been a life saving course that I chose, with the help of two very dear and beloved friends of mine. Without their encouragement and loving guidance, I would be just another lost soul, trying to survive in a fast paced, and sometimes uncaring, world. To them, I say thank you J & P. I love you both so very much!

Dear Gerti, Thank you for your kind comments on my poem Life After Death, and I am so blessed that it brought some level of refreshment to your soul. I am still enduring the grief process over the loss of my dad over 8 years ago and I have witnessed my mother's pain that enabled me to write from the heart. I have written several "memorial" poems and before he died, my dad requested I write one for him. I still can't read it without "Golden Teardrops" falling ... Ready, Set, Go Home. Blessings today and everyday in our precious Lord Jesus! Jody
Ahh, loved the phrase "golden teardrops" and the heart you put in this. I first "met" Judy when I commented on a poem she wrote in memory of David. He must have been quite a husband and brother!
I wish grief was something you could go over and not through but i know we have to grieve so let those golden tear drops fall and Jesus feels everyone and holds you so close. I am so positive that your two friends loves you to... Beautiful and moving song and keep writing.
