O’ what an awesome wonder and glory divine towards heirs of salvation! The theme above “blessed assurance” gives us an idea or a foretaste or idea of what it means to be “born again” against the nature of a miserable, empty and unfulfilling life conceived by greed of man and the deception of Satan, the enemy. Being born again is a condition of spiritual rebirth and a new life consecrated in Christ Jesus, the only means of accessing the heavenly glory promised for saints in second coming of Christ.

The original plan for man was to enjoy an endless, sweet fellowship with God and with creation in a perfect harmony where mischief and evil has no place with wild animals and domestic ones alike living together; where lions and birds, man and bears live and play together without fear and where fountains of water and the seas flowed into each other in a perfect beauty.

But suddenly, as bad company corrupt good morals, what was full of the consciousness of God and without sin and evil fell into the snare of a fowler and in a risk of danger. Satan, the old dragon seeing he’s uncertain fate and future and jealoused of the glory of God in a human vessel conceived to deceive man leading to the breaking of the law of God. Man was truly to obey God upholding the law but alas! His greed and pride gave him to the crafty, canning dragon hence breaking faith, the law and the covenant.

And as man chose to sin, his fate and destiny was determined according Romans 6:23, " the wages of sin is death" and so, man separated, died spiritually in his sin, falling from the glory of God unto the glory of a sinful man, a condition of eternal death, misery and hopelessness. But glory be to God! His love is greater the sin of man and will not allow man to die in his sin so He demonstrates His own love toward while we were yet sinners and send His only begotten son, Christ Jesus to die for us. Halleluiah!

God has a purpose for man and knowing his inability to fulfill this in a sinful state, he made a provision through Jesus Christ that by His death and resurrection the world should be saved. This is the story of Jesus Christ our Lord and the promise of God according to John 3:16 “for God so loving of the world gave His only begotten son that who so ever believes is Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Halleluiah!

It is this act of divine love that places on man the responsibility of giving back our lives and coming to the saviour for a regenerated life and united with Christ in death and resurrection according to Roman 6:4-, 5 “therefore if you were buried with Him through baptism into His death, just as Christ was raised from dead by the glory of the father, even so we also should walk in newness of life”.

It is a promise to all nations and generations, race and tongue, culture or tribe according to Act 10:35 “But in every nation whosoever call on the name of the Lord shall be saved”. Jesus indeed has the saving grace and the power of God to grant pardon, heal the sick, deliver the oppressed and redeem the world from sin and death and all one has to do is to “cry out” to Him and open up for him and He is more than willing to come and save.

The concept and understanding of being “born again” was questioned by a Pharisee named Nichodemus, a Jewish leader. He had come to Jesus haven heard and seen Jesus do miracles. Trying to please Jesus or perhaps not knowing what to do, he beats around the bush but thank God, Jesus knows about the pains and sorrows of our hearts and has provided for our deliverance.

He responding to his need said “except a man be born a gain he can not enter into the kingdom of God” John 3:1-5, but the man being ignorant of the things of the spirit again questioned “how can a man be born when he is old, can he enter the second time into the mothers womb?”. This is the question people ask. Being born again is a spiritual thing and one needs not just intellect but faith to understand.

Is simply a spiritual rebirth engineered by the Holy Spirit. It is has nothing to do with going back into your mothers womb and being born again as a child. That’s impossible and against the law of nature but what is impossible with God? With God all things are possible. All nations anyone who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ can be born again by the power of the God. Amen.

Jesus further answering nichodemus said according to John 3:6. “What ever is born of flesh is flesh and whatever is spirit is spirit”. This spiritual rebirth is essential for the new life in Christ Jesus and to experience the awesome Heavenly Glory in the second coming of Christ! As you read or listen my questions to you is: When the trumpet shall sound will you resurrect with Christ? Think about it. Jesus is coming soon but you have a chance now and now and not tomorrow. Tomorrow may be too late. Be born again now!

Pray with me if you wish:

"Thank you Lord Jesus for loving me a sinner and dieing for my sins. I turn from my evil ways and run to you as my Lord and personal saviour. Come into my heart and mind and fill me with your Holy Spirit and make me your son in the glorious name of Jesus. I’m all yours! Thank you for saving me. Amen".
