Many are the afflictions of the righteous
When he takes that stand to be pious
What next when you mumble and grumble
About how low things have tumbled
The issues, the difficulties, the pressure
All the way, it has not been a pleasure
At home and at work persecution all the way
Even those who are called friends jibe all the time away
Even in church, brethren are so mean
Scheming, plotting, dabbling always in sin
Whenever there is a pause and you are not complaining
Then the moments you further occupy reverberating
Noise all around, music blaring, the television and radio
Even the computer is on 24/7, till it is time to say Adio
“O! Who will hear my case, why o, why?”
“Woe is me, I can not go on, and this walk is a hard one!”
Listen will you!
Someone is saying something too!
He has been trying to catch your attention every way
But you have been too busy, too occupied or at play
He alone can support and guide you in the walk
You struggle and strain just to please him as you work
Do you not realize that you toil on end for no reason?
When you can ask the one who made every season
Do you not understand?
He is very much in demand
Ask him, tell him, then LISTEN because he has something to say too!
