He opened not His mouth

A silent lamb, to slaughter
silently, he pled
for His accusers salvation
shamelessly, He bled.
"Father, please forgive them
Why have you forsaken me?
Take this cup from my hands
but let Thine own will be.
"Facedown in the garden
looked up to the sky
tears shed for our pardon
I saw our savior cry
All man had betrayed Him
the Father hid his face
he died and rose
set us free
the ultimate act of grace
now we see His face
forever, we're freed from shame.
