The world is the habitat of beasts of every kind. Lust, and drugs, murder, hate, disease and suicide, Lurk beyond the painted walls of every parent’s home And monsters of deception, the streets and alley’s roam Oh God of Might and Miracles, how do we let them go? Children wandering in the night, unaware of so Many sorrows that await, so many traps to spring Upon their unsuspecting minds and rob them of Their wings. Oh let them soar above the din of mortal vice and sin, Oh take them higher on Your wings than they have Ever been. Oh God of love and faithfulness, be ever at their side, Speak into the hallowed heart that is forever thine. Oh Master of the Universe, Oh mender of the paths Bring back the lost and heal their hurts, spare them of the Wrath Of Enemies of ancient lore, of dragon fire unleashed Hold them close in your Great Heart their innocence To keep. And if they stray into the den of liars, and of thieves Wrap yourself around their soul and give them eyes To see. The predators that lurk beyond the veil of unbelief Return , oh children, to the One who offers sweet relief. He’ll bind your wounds and cleanse your heart and take You to his rest He’ll vanquish all your enemies and dress you in His best Robe of white—and place his ring upon your trembling hand Though we may sob and grieve your loss, He’ll bring you back again. Tested ,tried and purified, humbled by your pain, He’ll lift you high on wings of Love and turn your loss to gain.
