Change is a wonderful aspect of life, but it can have very negative effects. People who advocate change are usually ostracized and classified as rebels. Outcast from society, they are still able to achieve their goals, equipping themselves with a certainly outstanding prowess. Without courage their ambitions would be tamed and they would dissolve back into the unchanging society. The absence of courage would affect how we cope with injustice.
Jesus Christ has been a controversial figure throughout history. He lived a perfect life and walked in love, yet when his doctrines differed from the Pharisees he was persecuted unto death. This was a profound event in history that still shapes society today. His desires and goals were bigger than his life. Triumphantly, he allowed his cause to outshine his life, fulfilling his calling of salvation.
If Dr. Martin Luther King, jr., had been an aloof man, he wouldn’t have been able to impact so many people’s lives. His gregariousness, courage, and confidence allowed him to rise above his oppression. He needed that bravery to sound convincing in his argument. Ultimately, he made a difference by swimming against the current of strife.
During the times of Jim Crow, when African Americans and Caucasian Americans were supposedly separate but equal, a revolutionary man changed history. Ray Charles Robinson, and entertainer, refused to play at a Georgia theater where African Americans could only be on the balcony. Although, he was only one man, he was the first. His risked his performing career and decided to become a hero. He courageously accepted the consequences and later received a public apology for his worthy rebellion. He did not sit back and accept defeat.
Courageous people lead our society. The nonexistence of these individuals would cause an uproar among the people. No one would be willing enough to attack the trepidation causing an untimely demise of communities worldwide.
Intuition drives courage, and without either chaos will occur. Do not eschew responsibility. Be an advocate . Your courage promotes others to assist you in the reform you desire. Believing is giving the difference you wish to see vitality.
