Oh gracious God,
Please take me home now.
You know I’m ready and willing
If you will just allow.
I’ve fought my earthly battles.
Now I’m tired and worn out.
I just want to rest in peace now.
In my mind there is no doubt.
I know it’s up to you Lord,
But I’m asking for your grace.
I’m asking for your mercy Lord
To take me from this place.
Take my frail body Lord,
As you promised, make me new.
Let all my pain and sorrow fade.
Let me finally be with you.
In my new home in Heaven,
That you’ve already prepared.
I hear its awesome beauty
Is absolutely beyond compare!
So take my hand dear Lord,
As this earth I now depart.
I know my family will be okay,
You dwell within their hearts.
And they’ll know I’ll be the happiest,
The happiest I’ve ever known,
When my Lord in all His Glory,
Finally takes me home.
