Oh gracious God,
Please take me home now.
You know Iím ready and willing
If you will just allow.

Iíve fought my earthly battles.
Now Iím tired and worn out.
I just want to rest in peace now.
In my mind there is no doubt.

I know itís up to you Lord,
But Iím asking for your grace.
Iím asking for your mercy Lord
To take me from this place.

Take my frail body Lord,
As you promised, make me new.
Let all my pain and sorrow fade.
Let me finally be with you.

In my new home in Heaven,
That youíve already prepared.
I hear its awesome beauty
Is absolutely beyond compare!

So take my hand dear Lord,
As this earth I now depart.
I know my family will be okay,
You dwell within their hearts.

And theyíll know Iíll be the happiest,
The happiest Iíve ever known,
When my Lord in all His Glory,
Finally takes me home.

Such words uttered by the heart and spirit of a pilgrim wanting to go home. Most touching!
