VEGAS
They call this “Sin City", with many blinding lights,
And everywhere you turn, there's something for your eyes.
As I drove down the street, that's so open and wide
The blue sky welcomed me, Oh, this is paradise!
The towering hotels, the casinos and malls,
So many shows to watch with discounted coupons
Most people spend their time in front of slot machines
Others are having fun playing the poker games.
But as for me, I’ll rather look around,
Or eat sumptuous buffet with coupons 2 for one;
I would rather watch shows that impersonates Elvis,
And sit side by side with "Elvis clone" himself.
I am not for gambling, you’ll say I’m such a bore
I’ll rather watch gamblers as they win, as they lose
I compare it to life with many twists and turns,
Whatever future brings, it’s hard for us to know.
Like Vegas our own life is full of distractions
What’s pleasing to our eyes may not be good at all,
The world will entice us, it’s up for us to choose
We’re given a free will, whether to win or lose.
In this big game called Life, I’m old enough to know,
That the fear of the Lord is the greatest of all
When I do it my way, I’ll surely apt to fail,
But I am a winner, when I follow God’s will.
