OBEDIENCE IS BETTER THAN SACRIFICE

Don't play the role of Jonah in your Christian life
Because obedience is better than sacrifice.
Jonah sacrificed his peace of mind
And wasted a lot of valuable time
By trying to run away from God's command;
Never once thinking God has control of sea and land.
There was no place to run, nor a place to hide;
No mountain was too high and no river too wide
To get away from God's mission
Because wherever he went, he remained in God's vision.
He lost three days and three nights
Trying to take physical flight
From his charged obligation
When all he had to do was accept God's invitation
To be a servant for Him and His will
And accepting the mission he was commanded to fulfill.
If God calls you to do something in this life,
It's best to be obedient to avoid heartache and strife.
God has your life in the palm of His hand,
And will make sure you follow His every command;
Even if it means losing everything you own
Or awakening one day to find that all those you love are gone.
It's best to be obedient in your Christian life
To avoid unnecessary suffering and giving an undesired sacrifice.
