green sofa, together,
and watch it

"I think it came on,
Wednesday nights."
[SMILE.]
"Or.....maybe, it was
Thursday nights."
(Squint.)
"I'm not sure."
[PATIENT SILENCE.]
"Yeah, my Dad's favorite character,
was James Garner's old, cranky
father!"
(Laugh!)
[NOD.]
"Just hearing the music,
they play at the beginning,
makes me think of......."
[NOD.]
(Small smile.)
"I'm glad they've got
all this new technology,
nowadays, Lord."
[SILENCE.]
"Ya know: so, we can
look at something,
we used to love.....
any time we want,
without all those stupid
commercials,
and even if we don't
have cable."
[NOD.]
[SMILE.]
(Long silence.)
"It's nice."
[NOD.]
[TENDER SMILE.]
