Glimpse Of Things To Come
(Based on actual events)
In a dream I visited a place,
which took my breath away.
It’s beauty I can not describe,
but I knew I wanted to stay.
The sky was so beautiful,
like nothing I had seen before.
I didn’t want to leave there,
I had a desire to see much more.
The clouds were snowy white,
the sky was as blue as the sea,
And as I view this scenery,
total peace swept over me.
Never before have my eyes seen,
such magnificent beauty as this.
And I felt I’d truly witnessed,
a place of untold joy and bliss.
And when my dream had ended,
it kept replaying in my mind.
I felt that I’d gotten a glimpse,
of a place that God had designed.
And my mind keeps going back,
deep in my heart the dream abides
I think Jesus gave me a peek,
of the paradise where he resides.
And if Heaven is half as beautiful,
as I envisioned in that dream.
Then I shall live to spend eternity,
amid Heaven’s glorious beam.
