Breastplate of Righteousness: Metal or leather used to protect the vital
organs (the heart). Protecting the righteousness that is in your heart from the evil that the world brings forth on a daily basis.
The breastplate is very vital to our spiritual warfare. We must protect the word of God which is not curved on tablets of stone; but on our hearts,( 2 Corinthians 3:3). It is important that we keep God's word deep within us at all times and ready to use. Not when things are going easy and good for us; but when things get rocky in our life's. For it is in these times that we are strengthened. In these times, God's word in us will be used for strength, (Daniel 10:19). Protect that which is secrete within us! "The righteousness of a man is that which is in his heart". Many times through trails we fail to look in our hearts and pull out the word of God and apply it to that which we are going through. Thus leaving us vulnerable to open attack. The key to having a polished breastblate is faith and love,(1 Thessalonians 5:8). Have God to search out your hearts so he may clean that which is not needed out and put that which is needed in, (Psalm 139:23). Which is the righteousness of God! Keep it near at all times. Apply it to your life. And never take off your breastplate in a time of battle!
