Feet shod with the gospel of peace: This means we are to keep the peace which God has given us through his son. For in peace we have our joy and in our joy, we have our understanding. In return, we have our hope!
Peace is something that is greatly to be desired in most people. Most would rather have peace above all other things in their life's. On the other hand there are those who will not have peace for they have no fear of the Lord in their vision,(Romans 3:16:18). There is only one true peace on this earth and that is the peace of Jesus Christ,(John 14:27), (John 16:33) and ( Ephesians 2:14). Many people might not know, that it is through the representatives of peace that we obtain our joy,(Proverbs 12:20). "How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace and bring good tidings", (Romans 10:15). What is peace? Peace is Jesus Christ, the word,(John 1:1). Other than love, it is the whole being of God,(Romans 16:20). For we who are in Christ are witnesses to the peace of God that entered us the moment we received Christ! Remember the feeling? That to me is a great evidence of God in us. That wonderful feeling we felt and continue to fell as we walk with him. For peace is not only our defense weapon; but it is also our offensive weapon in warfare. When you have the gospel of peace in all things, there is no fear and when there is no fear, there is faith! It is in this that brings victory for the believer! This peace is not that which is of the world. This peace from God is a way of life. Placed in us as a fruit of the Spirit,(Galatians 5:22). It is a characteristic manifestation of the Spirit! If their is no peace within the body of Christ, than the unity of the Spirit is broken,(Ephesians 4:3). So just remember as believers, whether it be in your church, home, relationship and so on; if there is no Godly peace within, there is no oneness of the Spirit, (Ephesians 4:3). So hold fast to keeping the peace of God and ready to apply wherever you go! " For you will catch more flies with honey, than you will with vinegar".
