When a woman says she will submit to her husband, what is she really saying?
Some will have you believe that she is placing herself in the form of a servant,
and she should assert her right.
But it is a matter of trust. Do I really want to trust this man as the head of
household and provider? Do I want to relinquish everything I am and who I
decided to be and trust him to assist me in making the right decisions for me?
Do I have enough respect for him as my husband?
Many times people don't know how to submit to their spouses. So they don't.
We have to ask God's guidance on how to submit to our husband. Let him lead
the family for guidance on spiritual blessing over the family. And doing what
is best for the family. This includes talking with the spouse about the concerns
of the family and let them pray as one about it.
Another question we should ask ourselves, do we see God working in our
spouse? Then submission should be easy, but still we must pray for the head,
because Satan will launch an attack on him, so the family will falter.
Trust God, to lead the man. And you lift him up in prayer!
