Wandering down the road of life in unbelief
I was a soul without a place to call my home
Without hope, without faith.….without anything.
Across this barren world I roamed…..alone
A lifetime of sin and struggles followed me
Like the shadows on a dirty city sidewalk
Shattered dreams I’d left behind……haunting me
In the pages of my mind they chase….and stalk
I was thirsty, I was hungry, just a hollow soul
And so tarnished from the stains of this broken life
Jesus filled me, then cleansed me…..white as snow
Now I’m a citizen of a kingdom without….strife
Chorus
Yes I was homeless………
And He took me in and He washed away my sin!
He gave me a home
A mansion of my own….built on streets of gold!
Oh Jesus………You took me in.
I will praise You……with all that’s within
For taking me in…….when I was homeless.

It's been a while since I have been able to catch up w/ all the great writings! This song is beautiful! A great reminder where we came from and where we are when the cleansing blood covers all our past sins! Love, Danette
