Poetry
Lord, take me to the land
Of everlasting joy,
Where my tears
Will cease to flow
And, sorrow will I
No longer, know.
Take me to the promised land
Of everlasting mercy,
Where my pain
Will finally ease
And, suffer me no more
The agony of disease.
Take me to this land, of Yours
Of everlasting life,
Where the sting of death
Will never visit me
And, from grief’s torture
I may be set free.
Take me to this Holy land
Of everlasting hope,
Where I can lie
My weary head
And, no longer fear
That which I dread.
Lord, take me to Mount Zion
I long to walk with thee
Through the tranquil valleys
Where peace and love abide
It will be so worth . . .
Every tear that I’ve cried.
