Sparks
A spark lit
In the mind of God
That creeps along its wick
A glorious love offering
For and from the One who is
Bright and fragrant—colorful
One of many, yet unique
A brief display of beauty
Reflection of the King
Melted wax, a puff of smoke
Extinguished in a breath
The spark becomes a full-blown flame
Reborn in earthly death
The fragrance of a life well spent
Lingers like the scent
Of candles used to light the way
In this shadowed life we’re lent
God let my flame burn brightly
Consuming all that I possess
I give you what you’ve given me
And pray that others will be blessed
