Time is a thief, you've often heard it said.
Why! It's stolen by the hours
as we lie sleeping in our bed.
It vanishes much too quickly
while we work, and while we eat.
For nothing stops the hand of time
Though, we hurriedly try it to beat.
Time is a thief.
It show no respect of our need
to allow a friend to hear us
or in their heart to plant a seed.
Swiftly, it is disappearing
though, it may be our grandest tool.
If we grasp hold of every moment
to reach out and touch someone's hand.
It takes only a moment--give a hug and a smile.
For if we use our time wisely
we can help carry someone's load for awhile.
Time to some may be a robber
but remember it may also be said:
If we invest our time -- for Jesus
Then, others to Him will be lead.
