Teens, Donít Bring Your Ghosts To Your Marriage

Did you know, that dates of your past, become ghosts of your present?

A man or a woman has a wonderful relationship, but it doesnít end in marriage for some reason. It is then forgotten for a time.

Then comes a wonderful marriage. But with marriage, comes trials and tribulations, even in the best of marriages. That is when those dates (ghosts) of the past become visible again. That is when those ghosts start looking better than the one you are married to.

Instead of dwelling on your present marriage, you start dwelling on the past. You start dreaming of the life you could have had with someone else.

Or you may have been treated badly by some of the ghosts from your past and at the first indication that it will happen again, you run, like you did from all of your previous experiences.

If God has a marriage planned for you, it is the right one for you.

Make your husband or wife special before you meet him or her. Save all of your gifts of marriage for him or her alone. Your husband or wife will truly appreciate this in ways that will be so rewarding in your marriage.

Start praying for him or her now. Pray that he or she will wait for you as you wait for them.

Being single is a great, great gift. It allows you time to find out who you are in Christ and to find out the great plans God has for you. Then when you meet your spouse, you will be strong in whom God created you to be. Your spouse will know whom he or she is going to marry, and be grateful to know that they are marrying the one that was made for them.

One last point, whether they are visible or not, your ghosts will be with you on your wedding night.
