I seldom talk about my home-based business is in my columns, but you can expect read more and most of It won’t be written by me, but will be taken from GO magazine, Xango’s official monthly news publication.
The current columns I have previously written, can be found at website www.faithwriters.com. Just enter my name Freda Douglas in the site’s search engine.
You will find my contact at the bottom of each column. My guest today is Nancy Leary of Akron, Ohio. These are her words but I have been echoing them ever since April, 2004 which is when I joined and have never looked back.
“When the after effects of Hurricane Ike reached Nancy Cleary in her hometown of Akron, Ohio, the wind blew harder than she could ever remember it doing so.
She was conducting a XanGo meeting in her front room when it eventually knocked her electricity right out and, yet, she considered herself lucky—for a couple of reasons. One was that a) even though the trees outside her window were swaying to and fro so hard, they nearly touched the ground, their pizza was still delivered and b) they’d just finished watching Joe’s revamped Discovery DVD. The lights went out, sure, but nobody left. They continued right on talking about XanGo.
All things considered, it was a good day for her. Almost as good as the time she signed up a woman who shared her late mother’s hospital room; the 90-something distributor has already gone on to sign up two others.
“It just amazes me that some people keep [XanGo] a secret,” she says. “You can’t help but talk about it wherever you are.”
A thriving Premier Select distributor herself, Nancy has very few reservations about sharing XanGo—and that goes for inviting others to taste the Juice or asking them to join her in the business. After all, she says, it helped her get her life back. Having suffered for more than two decades with poor health, she constantly searched for something to help.
So, when friend and distributor Steve Hall called her about XanGo, she was on her computer and researching xanthones before he hung up. She immediately knew she was onto something—she had him send two bottles to her that night before he even knew how to sign her up.
“I knew it was an answer to my prayers,” Nancy explains.
A former pharmaceutical rep, she says the kind of research papers detailing the science of the mangosteen and Juice are almost identical to the kind of research papers she would use to sell prescription drugs to doctors.
Today, her health has greatly improved. And, more importantly, she has the strength to spend quality time with her seven grandchildren. She can have six lines going at once and grandkids running around underfoot and, yet, she’s able to make it work. In fact, they’re the reason she does this: to help bring families together.
“I have the belief and the passion to bring the mothers home,” she says. “And, believe me, I’d love to have my daughter home.”
