I await the final judgment
My heart beats faster as the seconds tick
To the excitement my fears I adjust
“Lord speak, only your truth I seek.”
I take a closer look at the judgment seat
The light, oh the glory of the light emanating from it is blinding!
I wonder what He’s thinking; The One I’ve come to meet?
Thoughts unlike mine, thoughts gloriously blinding!
All of a sudden, silence
The lights glow brighter; a flash of lightning!
Then the voice of ten thousands of thousands, times ten thousands of orchestras!
Oh! What heavenly melody, beautiful, you just can’t imagine.
In the roaring of many waters I hear my name
Awe struck; totally naked; Flashes of the life lived
In seconds of a second replays; A life lame
Within I die
“How could I have lived like this?” I ask myself
“Selfish, wicked, proud, filthy, pig-like. Why?”
All of a sudden from the right hand of Him
On the throne appears...a Lamb, as it was slain
As He opens His mouth to speak....
Blood drips to the ground from His wounds.....
Flashes of lightning from the midst of the throne!
Angels stand at attention, Lights tremble, my knees buckle
I mumble: My eyes on the Lamb, on the throne
The silence that ensues is deafening
The Lamb walks towards me
I wait
The Lamb walks towards me
I nearly faint
Before my very eyes ...oh the Lamb, a man!
He opens His arms wide to me, palms up
I see the scars deep, jagged and torn
I look into His eyes - love dilated
I hold His hands - totally translated
“Do you know me?” He asks. I nod
“Do you love me?” He asks. I nod
He slowly turns to the throne
With a smile on His face He addresses His Father- my Father
“Father, I know him. He is mine”
Flashes of lightning! I can hear the voice of ten thousands
Of thousands, times thousands of orchestras saying, ‘Hail!’
