Jesus Christ gave us the perfect model for all love relationships. Everything he did was because he believed in the power of love. Think about it, one man did so you could live. He took your place because he loved you a long time ago. Even through your mistakes and disappointments, he is still standing in the gap and speaking on your behalf to the Eternal Father. What love!
Many people try and define what love really means. Books have been written about it. Movies have been made about it. And poems have made history because every tried to capture what love is.
Some have given up on love because they have been hurt, and they lost hope. But I have news for you. Love never fails. Every love relationship must be based on the Jesus Christ. Christ poured himself out over and over again as a love offering. He reached out to the poor, and fed them. He spoke a word of deliverance to those who were bound. He healed many. He had compassion on a friend and he wept because of the love he had for them. He even loved those who backslidden away. He went after Peter, and restored him with the power of love. To reach our family for the kingdom, we must have love for them. We must be willing to give of ourselves everyday. We have to be that love offering.
