Sandy toes
And sun-kissed faces
Warm my soul
And leave no traces
Of winters
Grasp upon my mood
That longs to
Fly not sit and brood.
Laughter spills
From salted windburned
Lips at those
Who jump in cold churned
Waves anxious
For the warmer days
When waters
Soak the suns bright rays.
I prefer
Early June, before
The nations
Thoughts turn to the shore
And quiet
Days are brusquely drown
As tourists
Fill our seaside town.
Children long
For summers repose
When schools are
Locked and classrooms close
And beach days
Bring exciting friends
That carry
News from the worlds ends.
But oh those
Afternoons in June
When neighbors
On a nearby dune
Are moms to
Dorothy, and Toto,
School play stars
From Saturday's show.
Come July
There'll be barbecues,
Firework shows,
Sunsets in firey hues,
And many
Hours of family fun
Spent seaside
Til summers done
But I love
Early June, when days hark
To dark night
And the evening's still sparks
The suns last
Fading rays and this
Still whispers
Hope for summer's promise.

This is great Jodie, I like the rhymes and irregular division of lines make it really interesting. You will no doubt enjoy Jan's Masterclass on Rhyme too. But you seem to be quite the expert.
