It makes me so mad, Father,
to see another person putting someone down
or refusing to provide a service to them
because they are an immigrant, an alien
to this country.
Everyone who is in this country,
who is not a Native American Indian should be offended by this
because our ancestors were immigrants at one point.
Yet look at us in all our pride,
how we treat the less fortunate immigrant
who tries to make a better life for themselves and their family.
We put fences up and to me it's a sign of prejudice,
because the fence is not all around the country
it's just on one side.
The Lord watches over the alien and sustains the fatherless and the widow,
but he frustrates the ways of the wicked. (Psalm 146:19)
Isn't everything that's going wrong with this country's economy
a frustration for so many?!?
Could it possibly be because of the things we do?
Of course it is! Those who say no just lie to themselves.
We complain saying, "They are taking all our jobs!"
What infuriates me even more is the lips those words come from
which depends on the government and other state services to feed them.
Its so sad because there are so many who think they are too good
to get a job cleaning toilets but yet where ever they go
they want to sit on a clean one.
"Cursed is the man who withholds justice from the alien, the fatherless
or the widow." Then all the people shall say, "Amen!" (Deuteronomy 27:19)
This is what the Lord says: Do what is just and right.
rescue from the hand of his oppressor the one who has been robbed.
Do no wrong or violence to the alien, the fatherless or the widow,
and do not shed innocent blood in this place. (Jeremiah 22:3)
I pray and hope, Father, that my point is clear.
I pray that Christians do not defend ways of iniquity,
which discriminate because of race,
for we (Christians) are all strangers and aliens in this world.
Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world,
to abstain from sinful desires which war against your soul. 1Peter 2:11
And I pray, Father, that those who discriminate change their ways,
and those who have power to change laws,
take all immigrants into consideration and stand up for them.
I pray that everyone keep their children and grandchildren
in their minds when they make a decision,
because all decisions made,
won't just affect the people around us,
but an entire nation.
Please, Father, may Your will be done.
I ask big things, Father, but You can make them all possible,
I truly believe this and always will.
So all that I ask, Father, I ask in Jesus' name,
Amen!
Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty,
Who was, and is and is to come.
The word alien/alienate appears 111 times throughout the entire New International Version. The Lord clearly cares for them.
