Sunshine and cold, so comes this day,
the very first one of the year;
and I wonder what blessings I'll find,
along with the joy of having you near...
God has blessed me much this past year,
He gave me all the days brand new;
and I got to share every minute of them,
showing how much I LOVE YOU!!
Now the new year stretches out ahead,
a blank canvas that I can color in;
and add all the hues of the wonder I feel,
knowing my heart is one with yours within...
What a gift I've been given, this love we share,
the happiness and joy that is mine;
I cannot believe God cared for me so much,
to give me you and this love sublime!!
I begin the year with a prayer of thanks
for God's hand that directs my life;
and gratitude and joy and bliss overflow,
at the wonder of being your wife!!
This year's journey begins with a step,
hand in hand we start our new year;
and every moment will be one to cherish,
for all about you is so dear...
My heart overflows with joy on this day,
for the wonder of knowing it's true;
that God gave to me the best of all gifts,
I have it all because of how much I LOVE YOU!!!
