This day I look forward to the coming year,
not with parties, or any big 'do';
I will thank God for the one just past,
and for the gift of you....
I don't want to join the mindless celebrations,
I know what I want to do;
to spend this day and all those to come,
showing and saying how much I LOVE YOU!!
Each new day is a gift, given by God,
His light warms me, lets me see;
that all good things come directly from Him,
and He's who sent you to me....
What a gift that moment, my whole life changed,
God had started something brand new,
for He had plans for us to be together,
for our hearts to both say "I LOVE YOU!"
The joy is in the journey, I cherish each step;
for each moment's a gift beyond measure;
and I will hold each one in my heart,
the wonder mine; my heart full of treasure!
There will never be words enough,
or things that I might think to do;
that will ever let you know how very, very much
all my life is wrapped up in "I LOVE YOU"!
