Some were bright
Quite alright,
Others dreary
Made so weary.
Times of boredom
Felt like freedom,
Days of anxiety
Full of uncertainty.
Those with laughter
Were like jester,
Seasons of sadness
Reduced to madness.
Moments of success
Glowed with gladness,
Periods of failure
Shaded the future.
The year that was...
Up, down or just at rest,
Still yielded the very best
Of lessons learned,
Of characters shaped,
Of challenges triumphed,
Of friendships increased,
and
Of great love remained.
The year that was...
A Mighty Hand ruled,
The world He cured
With care everlasting
And wisdom exceeding.
His heart understood,
His tenderness soothed,
His holiness esteemed,
His presence revered,
And in 2009,
No need to fear
For His victory is always here.
HAPPY NEW YEAR in the LORD!
