It has been a long ride these past few months, these feelings inside that one has to hide, but in God cannot be denied.
This journey one can no longer defend, for it must come to an end, one must be only a friend.
For yet the soul must be renewed, this battle of the flesh an endless feud, fighting for something that should not be pursued.
For if the spirit is followed the flesh cannot win, not being allowed to surrender to sin and give in.
One cannot go back to that which they were delivered from, this fleshly sin must be overcome.
For this test must come to rest, to seek for what one knows is best.
2008 much to carry, 2009 please do not tarry!
For in this season one has experienced self, but now must surrender to God what is left.
One must move on from this place and desire to run God's race.
So use me Lord as never before, I surrender myself and pursue You more.
Sin for a season gets a lifetime of pain, not worth the measure of sin that remains.
Surrender to the Lord and seek His face, He sent his Son to take sin's place.
