Psalm 1249
Thank You, Father, for showing me the way.
Thank You for Your forgiveness when I lost my focus, Father,
my way became blurred and caused me to speak
in a way I’m not proud of.
I’m sorry that my trust in You wavered, Father.
I can see now that my last written words
were out of fear and anxiety.
It was obvious I was drowning and I’m not going to lie,
I didn’t feel like reaching up or in the direction of You.
In this short period of time I’ve come to realize,
not to reach for You, would make me the person
I’m fighting so hard not to be.
I see that my passion and purpose became self-centered,
and not centered around You.
I’m still here, Father,
I’m not giving up nor am I giving in,
Help me maintain my focus, Father,
Help me cling to Your will and recognize the lies of the evil one
who seeks to destroy my soul.
I ask this in Jesus’ name,
Amen.
Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty,
Who was, and is, and is to come.

We must always keep our eyes and ears open to the Holy Spirit and know His word because satan is so cunning. Its so easy to stray away but Thank God, He is able to keep us. Great poem !
