Over the course of time, people have been confronted with great burdens. Like the current financial downslide, or the downward spiral of social distrust between individuals. Or the desperate audacities of hope poor people go through in realizing a college education. We only need to look in the past. The Bible accounts many stories; Daniel and Dave are but a few examples. Of individuals and the tough times God has been with us before. Why are these times brought upon us? Is it that people are focused on self-belief or is it external sources (TV or Books, Newspapers) influencing what to believe. The fundamental structure of our belief-system is and has been based on what our eye is beholden too. Our eyes are and have been glued to our wisdom, not the wisdom of God. Paul writes about salvation for lost sinners by the suffering and death of Jesus Christ. Many consistently reject it as foolishness by those on a destructive path. But those who are open to the belief-system that Christ’s death is a life giving grace, shows good wisdom. God left most of the other “wise-men” to follow their dictates of boasted reason as folly.
The Bible states “God is far wiser than the wisest of human plans; God’s weakness is far stronger than the greatest of human strength”. People, look at your wisdom, and understand that divine wisdom is from God. Let’s not be foolish in the pursuit of our own wisdom.
