Jesus came to school today,
Despite the Politicians way,
Fifty little faces beamed,
As Love supplied their humble dreams.
Food and drink,
Clothes and toys.
Joyful, giggly,
Girls and boys,
and Love.
Shining bright from face to face.
The world outside, another place.
Hearts were filled and hungry fed.
For a while He donned a coat of Red,
Today, when Jesus came.
He held the hand of one small boy,
Trembling as he claimed his toy.
He touched the heart of one young mother,
Telling her how much He Loved her.
He bought the food and cooked awhile,
and there He shone in every smile,
Today when Jesus came.
Love adorned the Christmas tree,
Love was there for all to see.
Few saw Him, perhaps just me,
Today when Jesus came.

Lovely, comforting poem. I could see the joy and excitement on those little faces. Christmas is such a wonderful time to teach children about Jesus. After all, Christmas is all about Jesus. The other things like toys and gifts and good food are just bonuses. When else is excitement at its peak, but at Christmas time....Have a happy and blessed Christmas. After all, Jesus came not only to school, but to all the homes represented too....Helen
