Have you ever thought
About God's favorite color
In the whole wide world...
Well one day I sat beneath
A tree
And there it came to me...
That truly there could only be
One that He loved above the rest --
As I peered across the way
I realized that it is green
That He loves the best...
In the ablundant shades of green
I saw the love of God
And I realized His beauty forever springs
From this earthen sod...
This earthly scene is lush with hues
Of the color of prosperity
And as I looked across the way
I told God that now I know why
Green is His favorite color
Beneath the vast blue sky --
It is the color of life
It is the color of prosperity...
It has brought me great joy
Each time I looked to see --
The earth shrouded in the color green
And I realized that He chose
The color of life which to all
Would forever be upon the scene...
As I looked across the way
I too realized that green springs forth
With the break of day
And sleeps in the eve
To return in the morning --
A very present reminder for you and me
That green is God's favorite color
And I am so very thankful
That He so lovingly
Shared it daily with me...
