The exclusive honour of being singled out of the sea of humanity into God's very special, distinctive, and excellent family comes with great responsibility! God has great class, that's you! As His sons and daughters, we must then understand that because our lives are in His able hands, he watches closely over us, ready to meet every need as we ask and keep asking in faith.
We will be acting like bastards when we turn everywhere but to God first, to seek help. By this we slight and offend God terribly to our detriment. He's a very jealous God; in fact His name is jealous. Ex.34:14. Although His jealousy is not founded on selfish, ulterior, and hideous motives like ours, but on true, divine, and protective love!
Godly wisdom demands that we go first to God. Contrary to our conventional and traditional beliefs, God is highly willing and readily available to offer sound, seasoned, and timely counsel every time we ask. James 1:5-8. He's never too busy with some "heavenly, high profile committee or board meeting" or some complex and complicated international crises of great magnitude somewhere across the globe! No, He responds to us, counsels and comforts us as though we're the most important, most honourable, and most intimate acquaintances in the universe!
Any delayed response therefore, is a result of His usual thoroughness in bringing out the best out of every mess and to get you to learn a wise lesson or two from your situation for your ultimate benefit. 1Pet.1:4-9. God expects us also to seek counsel from ministers of the gospel or genuine Christian counselors whose counsel would always line up with God's perfect will for our lives and relationships with Him.
God's counsel or verdict on any issue is final and bears absolute authority. Let's be very careful where we turn to for advice. A good idea is not necessarily God's idea. And public opinion might not always line up with God's specific mandate for our highly sensitive, delicate, and distinctive destinies.
You need lots of guts and audacity to decline and reject ungodly persuasions, opinions, and peer pressure, to live for God alone! May God grant us the grace, capacity, and unshakable resolve to "Trust in (seek) the Lord with ALL our hearts, and never depend on our understanding, but always acknowledge Him first, in ALL our ways, issues, circumstances etc, for He will surely direct our paths - ALWAYS! Prov.3:5, 6.
Caution: These following scriptures might not tickle your fancy or make you do a little joyful dance to one or two of your favorite praise songs, but obeying these Words of God will bless you greatly through life and eternity, I assure you! -2Kg.1; 1-18; 2Cor.6:14-18; Jer.17:5-10.
Have a marvelous day in God's awesome presence.
