(White Ribbon) World AIDS day 01-12-2007
Infants without a voice
Some had no choice
Paying the price demanded from those who came before
A disease that fights against peace as it strangles the core
Till you are no more
Blood tears escape Africa's eyes
No one to wipe them as the world joins her in her cry
Many have died, many more still to die
This curse cursing humankind
From mother to father and now child
Like trying to catch the sun
Some got burnt in the heat
As meat met meat
Black, White, Coloured, Asian
All have met to eat (feasting on disease)
The white ribbon turns red
As love-making places turn into death-beds
the slayer continues to slay his prey
Today!
Let's kneel down and pray.
