My life’s journey has brought me to
A fork within the road.
Giving me three different paths
from which I have to choose.
I can choose to go the way
my selfish pride will lead.
Giving me my dreams come true
or my life in ruin.
I can instead allow the world
to be my only guide.
Choosing then to live my life
as if it was a lie.
Within my third and final choice
I have a guarantee.
Not that life will always go
as nicely as I’d like.
But only that through Jesus Christ
I have eternal life.
